In September 2014, the Roundtable adopted its first project: Kids at Hope and has worked hard to bring this innovative concept to Indian River County.
Timeline of Kids at Hope in Indian River County:
9/2014 – The Executive Roundtable of IRC decided to focus on brining KAH to Indian River County
1/2015 – The Roundtable hosted a kickoff event to introduce KAH to the community
7/2015 – GYAC became the first site trained in Kids at Hope
8/2015 – Dodgertown Elementary was trained in KAH
8/2015 – Alternative Center For Education was trained in KAH
12/2015 – Train the Trainer Academy 8/2016 – Vero Beach Elementary was trained in KAH
6/2016 – Boys and Girls Club was trained in KAH
5/2016 – The Roundtable hosted a Night With John Walsh to benefit KAH
3/2017 – ERIRC and School District hosted the Soul, Science and Culture of Hope with Rick Miller/Antwone Fisher
11/2017 – Dodgertown Elementary becomes KAH model School
05/2018 – Roundtable hosts KAH Destination Day at Dodgertown Elementary with Roundtable members and other community leaders
05/2019 – Roundtable hosts second KAH Destination Day at Dodgertown Elementary with Roundtable members and other community leaders
02/2020 – IRC School District hosts Train the Trainer Academy
06/2020 – Beachland Elementary was trained in KAH
2021/2022- IRC School District hosts Train the Trainer Academy
2022- Indian River County Schools takes over Kids at Hope with plans to expand
